Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

At Knotic, you can cancel your subscription at any time with no penalties or fees. This policy explains how cancellation works and what to expect.

2. How to Cancel

2.1 Self-Service Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime through your account dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Knotic account
  2. Go to Settings → Billing
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Confirm your cancellation

Your subscription will be cancelled immediately, but you'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

2.2 Email Cancellation

Alternatively, you can request cancellation by emailing support@knotic.io. Include your account email and we'll process the cancellation within 1 business day.

3. What Happens After Cancellation

3.1 Access Until End of Billing Period

When you cancel, you will retain full access to your subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period. For example:

  • If you're on a monthly plan and cancel on January 15th, you'll have access until February 15th
  • No refunds are issued for the unused portion (see our Refund Policy)

3.2 After Your Billing Period Ends

Once your paid period expires:

  • You'll be automatically downgraded to the Free tier
  • Your chat history and profile data will be preserved
  • You'll have access to Free tier limits (5,000 Sonnet + 10,000 Haiku tokens per 24 hours)
  • You can upgrade again anytime from your dashboard

3.3 No Recurring Charges

You will not be charged again after cancellation. There are no hidden fees, early termination penalties, or surprise charges.

4. Reactivating Your Subscription

Changed your mind? You can reactivate your subscription anytime:

  • Go to Settings → Billing in your dashboard
  • Select the plan you want (Pro, Max, or Unlimited)
  • Enter your payment information
  • You'll be charged immediately and regain full access

5. Account Deletion

Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account. If you want to completely delete your account and all associated data:

  1. Cancel your subscription first (if active)
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Click "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm deletion

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your chat history, profile data, and settings will be permanently removed.

6. Billing Disputes

If you believe you were charged incorrectly after cancellation, please contact us immediately at support@knotic.io. We will investigate and resolve any billing issues promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
